Rahul Mithaiwala (Shahrukh Khan) is a forty-year-old lone
wolf living in Mumbai. His guardians kicked the bucket in a pile up when he was
eight years of age, so his grandparents raised him. His granddad (Lekh Tandon)
possesses a chain of confectionery shops. Prior to his granddad's 100th
birthday festival, two of Rahul's companions welcome him to go hand in hand
with them on a get-away in Goa, which he acknowledges. Rahul's granddad passes
on the eve of the festival. His grandma tells Rahul that his granddad needed
his slag to be separated into two sections one of each to be drenched in the
Ganges and Rameswaram. She requests that Rahul take the powder to Rameswaram
and scatter them. Reluctantly, he acknowledges her demand but on the other hand
is enthusiastic to go to the Goa trip. Rahul and his companions plan to dump
the fiery remains at Goa yet his grandma needs to see him off, constraining
Rahul to go via train. He books a solitary ticket on the Chennai Express,
wanting to meet his companions along the way. In any case, Rahul neglects to
take the powder, and he very nearly misses the train when he comes back to

to load up it. He helps her and four other individuals load up the moving
train, however the train leaves the station before he can get off.

Rahul (Shahrukh Khan) helps Meenamma (Deepika Padukone)

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
Meena takes Rahul to her dad and presents him as her
sweetheart. Tangaballi challenges Rahul to a duel that Rahul unknowingly

duel, Rahul escapes with the assistance of a nearby policeman, Shamsher (Mukesh
Tiwari), however he winds up on a boat with Sri Lankan terrorists and dealers.
