Narayan Shankar (Amitabh Bachchan) is the strict dean of
Gurukul, a prestigious all-young men college. Narayan needs the best out of his
understudies, and spots accentuation on custom, respect and order. He has run
the college for a long time and over that time, he has deny the understudies
from any sort of sentiment — anybody he discovers becoming hopelessly enamored
will be ousted. The film concentrates on three of the school's understudies:
Sameer (Jugal Hansraj), Vicky (Uday Chopra) and Karan (Jimmy Shergill) who all
fall head over heels in love. Sameer is infatuated with Sanjana (Kim Sharma),
his youth companion. Vicky succumbs to Ishika (Shamita Shetty), an understudy
at the all-young ladies college nearby to Gurukul. Karan gets to be stricken
with Kiran (Preeti Jhangiani), a young lady he sees one night at a train

Raj Aryan (Shahrukh Khan) joins Gurukul as a music educator.
