Rohit (Hrithik Roshan) and his more youthful sibling Amit
are vagrants living with a Christian couple Lily (Farida Jalal) and Anthony
(Satish Shah). Rohit is a yearning artist who lives up to expectations in an
auto showroom keep running by Malik (Dalip Tahil). One day he meets Sonia
Saxena (Ameesha Patel), little girl of Mr. Saxena (Anupam Kher), when he goes
to convey an auto to her home as her birthday present. Obscure to everyone,
Saxena and Malik are running a medication cartel with help aof two cops (Mohnish
Behl and Ashish Vidyarthi). Saxena is called "Sir Ji" (Sir) by the
trio.
Rohit & Sonia see one another later that night when
Sonia and her companions are hosting a get-together on the shoreline. After
Rohit sings for her, Atul (Rajesh Tandon), Malik's child & Sonia's
companion, welcomes him on a voyage to perform. In the long run, Rohit and
Sonia fall for one another. This is questioned by Saxena, who requests Malik
sack him. Later he mellows up a bit and difficulties Rohit to do something huge
so he can win back his affection. Resolved to substantiate himself, Rohit and
his companions endeavor to get a record bargain for him. Rohit in the long run
gets to be celebrated and plans to put on a tremendous show.
On the night of the show, Rohit goes to get Amit from school
to take him up to a show. He witnesses the degenerate policemen and Malik
shooting down the official (Ram Mohan) who has got some answers concerning
their medication dealings. The policemen find Rohit's vicinity and shoot at
him. Rohit is pursued by the police and falls into a stream when his bicycle
collides with a scaffold. Rohit, who doesn't know how to swim, suffocates.
Sonia and everybody believe that he passed on in a mischance.
Sonia goes into despondency so her dad sends her to New
Zealand to live with his sibling. Her cousin Neeta (Tanaaz Currim) tries to
help Sonia get over Rohit. There she sees Raj Chopra (additionally Hrithik
Roshan). His face takes after Rohit and he is additionally a decent vocalist.
Raj succumbs to Sonia, yet his face helps her to remember Rohit making her more
discouraged. On taking in her story, Raj chooses to tail her back to India.
